KELIPÉ celebrates 24 years of pure Flamenco in Málaga: art, roots, and unique performances

31/08/2025

To speak of Flamenco in Málaga is to speak of KELIPÉ. Since its foundation in 2001, this space has become a living temple of Flamenco art, a place where the audience discovers the truth of an ancestral tradition passed down from generation to generation.

Today, with almost 24 years of history, KELIPÉ remains the undisputed reference point for pure Flamenco in Málaga. And to celebrate, starting from 1 September, the KELIPÉ Flamenco Art Centre opens its doors with new cultural proposals.

Official words from KELIPÉ, spoken by its founder and exclusive dancer, Susana La Yedra

“The iconic brand of the legendary ‘Temple of Flamenco’ in Málaga, an ancestral art with millenary roots, will soon celebrate its XXIV anniversary, and we want to share it with our audience and friends.

From 1 September, KELIPÉ Flamenco Art Centre, together with our conceptual shop ‘Flamenco Art & Boutique’ (Art Gallery and Private Museum, KELIPÉ Merchandise) in the heart of Málaga – Calderería 8 – invites you to join our flamenco gatherings, talks, and live music, led by our official cast of artists ‘KELIPÉ Flamenco De Ley’, while sharing a coffee.

A unique place in its kind, in a warm and welcoming atmosphere! An unmissable opportunity to experience true Flamenco with ‘Los Flamencos’, behind the scenes. A cultural journey you won’t forget!

We look forward to seeing you!”

On the occasion of this 24th anniversary, KELIPÉ not only celebrates its history but also opens a new chapter with unique cultural proposals in Málaga.

An iconic space in Málaga

KELIPÉ is not just a theatre or a performance hall. It is a place with soul, with history, and with an exclusive cast that has kept the flame of Flamenco alive for more than two decades.

Its philosophy is clear: to offer authentic art, without artifices or concessions to superficial tourist shows. Here, every song, every guitar chord, and every footwork comes from the emotion of the moment.

It is no coincidence that the public knows it as the “Temple of Flamenco” in Málaga. With nearly 24 years of trajectory, this space has become an essential cultural meeting point both for locals and for visitors from all over the world.

Pure Flamenco performances in Málaga

If there is something that remains at the heart of KELIPÉ, it is its pure Flamenco performances in Málaga. Each ticket is not just an entry, but a passport to an intimate and unrepeatable experience.

Here there are no large impersonal auditoriums nor artificial set-ups: the audience sits on traditional Andalusian wooden and rush chairs, so close to the stage that they can feel the tremor of each heel strike or the vibration of the guitar.

For 90 minutes, the hall becomes an emotional journey where anything can happen. Each performance is different because it depends on the energy shared between artists and audience. And that spontaneity is what makes KELIPÉ an unforgettable experience for those who seek to feel Flamenco in its most authentic form.

Original music and exclusive artists

One of KELIPÉ’s great values is that its music and choreographies are original, created by the artists themselves. Nothing is imitated or repeated: each piece is born from the creativity and personal feeling of the Flamenco performers who step on the stage.

In addition, KELIPÉ has exclusive artists who have been sharing their art in this space for years. Their presence guarantees not only quality but also the continuity of a unique, unmistakable, and deeply rooted style.

This commitment to authenticity ensures that each performance feels like a premiere, and that the audience experiences the certainty of being in front of something truly genuine.

KELIPÉ, much more than a performance

With its 24th anniversary come new ways of approaching Flamenco:

  • Flamenco gatherings: intimate conversations with the artists.
  • Talks and cultural encounters: to understand the art from within.
  • Live music: in a close and familiar setting.
  • Flamenco Art & Boutique: art gallery, private museum, and exclusive KELIPÉ merchandise.

All in the very centre of Málaga, in a warm and welcoming space where tradition and innovation go hand in hand.

Final words

Celebrating 24 years of pure Flamenco in Málaga is much more than an anniversary: it is confirmation that KELIPÉ remains the place where art truly lives.

A space where performances are unrepeatable, the music is original, and the artists are exclusive. Where each encounter is a cultural and emotional journey that remains in the memory of all who live it.

At KELIPÉ, Flamenco is not performed. It is felt.
